Parent and Me

Mommy and Me is designed to be a child’s first introduction to structured group activities. Through music, art and movement a baby begins “to learn how to learn.” We say “Mommy and Me” but our approach is really “Parent and Me” since we welcome and encourage daddies to participate as well.

While classes help improve both motor and cognitive skills, the most significant aspect of our class is introducing children to a new social environment in which to learn. With the security of their parents participating side-by-side, children can try new things, interact with new people and become comfortable in new settings. Classes are a great way to prepare children for preschool by gradually incorporating the elements they will see later in school.

Each class is tailored to the needs of participants. Typical classes include indoor and outdoor physical activities for movement, circle time for music and stories and discussion time to share parenting experiences and to ask questions.
